The AMA Global Health Challenge is an essay and video contest for teams of medical students, allied health students, pre-med students and residents with an interest in global health. These students are dedicated to help those in need abroad and at home. This year, we received a record number of inspiring essays.
The essays were judged and ultimately 10 teams were chosen as finalists and announced to the public via Twitter.  The finalists are currently in the process of creating their video which will be displayed on the contest website in July for voting.  Ultimately, one team will be chosen as the winner and will get the opportunity to go on an all-expense paid trip with Timmy Global Health, a global health organization located out of Indianapolis.  The 2017 winning team is currently on their trip with Timmy Global Health. We can’t wait to share photos and blogs of their time helping the under served in Guangaje, Ecuador!
